Vehicle Description

The car was subject to a complete nut and bolt restoration between 2006-2009 starting from a brand new RWA heritage Body shell, the rebuild cost in excess of £30,000 plus labour. Every penny spent on the restoration is documented in its extremely thick history file. The car has covered approximately 4000 miles since completion. The most obvious thing about the car is the bubble arches, these are steel arches and were professionally fitted by pool lane classics, they also carried out the modifications to create a louvred bonnet. The total cost of the body shell, arches, preparations and paintwork totalled over £12500 - and that was back in 2007! God knows what that’d cost today. The paintwork is finished In Audi Avus Silver metallic with VW red alert detailing. It has been fitted with a newly built Oselli 1293cc lead free fast road engine (those “in the know” will agree they make a finely fettled MG engine) this is mated to a 5 speed sierra gearbox with all new ancillaries professionally rebuilt by Frontline Spridget LTD, everything that could possibly be upgraded has been, e.g. lumenition electronic ignition, stainless steel manifold, stainless steel straight through exhaust, oil cooler etc etc. The interior has been completely re-upholstered with superb attention to detail, red leather bucket seats, new carpet set, new door cards, new dash, custom centre console and glove compartment, all new white smiths gauges, all new switches, dials etc. Matching Mahogany dash board, door cappings and steering wheel, wind deflector, roll hoop with custom remove-able t-bar and finished off with a new hood and frame. It has a brilliant stereo system with aux input too, the icing on the cake is a “push button” start. The boot compartment has been trimmed just as nicely as the interior. The bright work is from an Austin Healey sprite and sets the car off really well; the wheels are 13 x 7 minilite style and are completely perfect with very good Falken tyres. Everything underneath was replaced, it would take forever to list everything but no stone was unturned, new fuel tank and lines, new prop shaft, rebuilt diff, polybushed throughout, new brakes and lines, all new steering components etc etc. The result of this build is a stunning, totally unique midget that receives nothing but positive comments; the drive is fantastic and very engaging. Despite the way it looks, the car has never been raced or rallied.
