Full Vehicle Spec
The SLC (C107) series was produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1971 through to 1981. The most elegant of sports cars, the SLC was offered with either a 2.8-litre straight-six or a range of V8 engines.
The car offered is a 1977 model with the 3.5-litre V8 engine and the highly desirable manual gearbox. It was ordered directly from the Mercedes-Benz Export and Diplomatic Sales division by the first owner as the manual configuration was not available to UK dealers at this time. The original factory and import documentation remain in the cars history file. Included in the specification was the electric sliding steel sunroof for which the owner paid an additional 1,025 Deutsch Marks, a fair sum in 1977.
Since then it has passed through a series of owners who, as is obvious from the condition, have looked after it supremely and used it sparingly only covering 56,000 miles since 1977. The mileage and condition are supported by some twenty five old MOTs, volumes of maintenance and servicing receipts and the original service and maintenance handbook, all of which accompany the car. It also now holds a fresh MOT until August 2020.
The red exterior, brightwork and parchment velour upholstery are all in excellent and original condition. With a most enviable history of careful ownership, low mileage, desirable specification and superb unspoilt and original condition, this is an opportunity to own one of the best 350SLCs.
